That video was stolen from Boing Boing, who surely stole it from somewhere else. Anyway, that is probably the best self-stabilizing walking robot I've ever seen. Watch the whole thing, it's completely amazing, like some kind of horrifying donkeyspider.

Dad sent me a surprise gift card (thanks, Dad!), so I promptly blew it on a Camelbak for biking. It's a 50 oz., but that should be cool for almost anywhere I'm going. I like how they make the tube out of extremely bright blue tubing so people will know you're not just wearing some kind of tiny, crappy backpack with a floppy antenna.

That put me in buying-bike-things mode, and today I ordered these bomb-ass kevlar bead slicks. This is the first time I've bought tires without an actual bike store person to tell me what sizes/whatevers I need, so hopefully everything matches up with the wheels I already have. I think at most I'll just need some smaller inner tubes.

Shawn and I might go riding this weekend if it's not blizzarding!
