OHHHH

Even though it was the last time I'll see Scott for two months while he's being in the Army and also the last time I'll see the end of Jeff's finger, there were good times for sure. Mostly the coolest thing was getting to do an ice carving for the first time and not totally being crap at it. I had bought lunch (the way we think of lunch, which is three types of expensive cheese, some bread, crackers, bananas, a dark ale, and a lager) and brought it over to Jeff's so we could have a Scott party and when I got there, Jeff was practicing his new upside-down backflip gymnast sculpture for the Plymouth competition in a week or so. We had lunch and then while Jeff was finishing up his piece I decided to try chiseling up a spare hunk of ice into a face. I finished it up with the weird giant dremel thing and stuck it in the freezer.
Quite shortly after that a slew of cursing explodes above the whine of electric chainsaws and Jeff's holding his hand and wobbling around like he's going to pass out. Half a gallon of orange juice and half a bottle of peroxide later I'm at the emergency room desk trying to get this snotty bitch to let me in before some well-intentioned nurse makes Jeff look at blood and he falls off of whatever tall thing they've set him on unimpeded to the floor. Pina arrives and says that's called vageling. After a few redundant nurses doing the same thing over and over again Jeff gets to leave with a large and poorly wrapped bandage. The nurse admits she, "slept through that part of medical school."
Scott and Amateis rejoined us back at Jeff's and we celebrated a combination of Scott peacing out and Jeff hopefully growing the end of his finger back. I bought a bottle of 1800 (which came with two most-excellent hand blown shot glasses), hacked up some limes, and we did shots until Scott thought the skylight was an escape hatch.
Anyway, I hope everyone's doing alright out there in computernet land. Happy new year! WE ARE IN THE FUTURE.
