Less Yappin', More Zappin'

I did a fair amount of long-overdue upgrading this week. I also did a fair amount of fucking things up and then fixing them again. This is to be expected with computers of any kind. There hasn't been a chance to overclock anything or change memory timings yet because I just finished installing drivers for everything. Here are the basic results, though:

1x AMD Athlon 64 3800+ @ 2412.4 MHz
1x ASUS A8N-SLI Deluxe
2x 512 MB Corsair DDR PC3200
1x NVIDIA GeForce 7300GT
1x Western Digital 250 GB SATA HD
1x Hitachi 160 GB SATA HD
1x Western Digital 80 GB IDE HD
1x SuperCrap Floppy Disk Drive
1x SAMSUNG DVD-ROM Drive
1x SONY CD-RW Drive

It'll be great when I can pick up another 7300GT and start makin' SLI babies.

Until then, Jeff and I are planning on going to a science museum in Canada to hijack their brain wave monitor, reverse-engineer it, and use it to replicate an experiment we saw on TV in which two locations on the brain that apparently control visual memory and drawing ability were given a shock simultaneously. They got a lawyer to draw a bad ass picture of a dog, so that's encouraging. Time to download that show and take a screencap of the part where they show the specific spots on the guy's head. Brain-upgrade city.
